In the early morning light with the tentative light of dawn fighting to break through an earlier morning storm, my mind–still not fully in control of itself–coaxed and pleaded with me to stay put right where I was.
I could easily cancel my plans. No one was expecting me. I wasn’t accountable to anyone to visit a Buddhist temple like I had planned. Except myself. My hazy dreaminess that enveloped me shifted into focus at that thought.
